I hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology from Norfolk State University and Nursing from Marymount University, and bring over six years of experience as a registered nurse. After completing travel nursing contracts across the West Coast and multiple regions, I returned to my hometown of Danville, Virginia with a mission to give back and make a meaningful impact in my community.
In just one year, I have successfully grown River District Home Care into a trusted agency, expanding both our client base and care team.

Tara Fitzgerald serves as the Operations Manager at River District Home Care, bringing over 29 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 14 years dedicated specifically to home care. Her extensive background and leadership play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of care and operational excellence.
